Your OEM Approved Marketing Company isn't Working for You

Their first priority is the success of the manufacturer

We're here to let you in on a little secret. Your OEM approved Agency isn't here for you. They're here for the Manufacturer.

You may ask: "But if my dealership does well, that's good for both of us right?"

While conceptually that's true, but there are a couple more factors that come into play here other than numbers and data. Here are a few examples of what we mean:

  1. The level of service - These are BIG agencies. Not only do they have to keep up with the needs expressed by their clients (you), but they have to keep up with the directives of the manufacturers. Which do you think is going to come first?

  2. The OEM is constantly adding and changing directives. We sat in on a OEM Marketing meeting with one of our clients and discovered they had rearranged the campaign structure of their Google SEM to fit what the manufacturer deemed compliant. Needless to say this interrupted their efforts and came as a surprise when we questioned why metrics shifted.

  3. Every piece of content is going to look exactly like your competition's. If you look and sound just like your competition, how are you supposed to get ahead? The brand may grow, but will your dealership?

We could go on and on (if you want to hear more, feel free to reach out) the bottom line is, if you want to focus on your dealership's success and not lining the pockets of the Manufacturer, you need to expand beyond what the manufacturer dictates and partner with a dealership who is ready to help your dealership and only your dealership succeed.
